i started working at 13 in my granduncle’s tailoring shop.
at first, i hated it. i just wanted to play pokemon emerald during the holidays. but it slowly left an impression on me.
it made me happy watching him build something of his own.
after spending 5 yrs in corporate, i finally decided to leave my fast-tracked career to pursue my mission - helping other builders pursue their dreams; like my granduncle.
but chasing dreams is hard. it is easy to lose sight of why you started in the first place.
so recently, i physically built Open Campus. it is an accessible place (KL, Malaysia) where builders can learn to become founders. a place where you can freely build, and ideas don’t just die bcs of lacking resources.
in s1, ive seen doctor, architect, crypto builders all coming together under one roof to build their product. we helped them refine, launch, and scale their product to hundreds and thousands of people all around the world.
it ended with tears, laughters & heavy hearts; but i hope they know that they changed our lives. and i wanna keep doing this. for them, and for my younger self.
oh yeah, im also doing a bunch of other things.
rn building a motion controlled game, a b2b SaaS to simplify business workflows, maintaining an open source learn-to-code project called Level Up (which grew to 10k+ users), growth at Scroll, and enjoy photography! these are some of my favs.
well, that's pretty much story time for today. thanks for hanging around and reading my scribbles. i hope to see you around.
p.s. none of this would have happened without this man. i owe it all to him.
